September 23, 2017 mark the annual celebration of Avila's apple-growing heritage with the Avila Apple Festival. Avila's See Canyon and Avila Valley has a long history of apple growing. Originally planted by James Brown in the late 1800's, the See Canyon is currently home to more than 75 varieties of apples, including both common and heirloom varieties.

‚ÄčThe Avila Apple Festival, organized by the Avila Beach Civic Association, celebrates this long farming heritage with a celebration honoring our beautiful and delicious apples.

That said  2017, the very popular Gala Dinner is back!  The event will be held Saturday, September 23, from 5 - 9 p.m.  under the stars at the beautiful Avila Beach Community Center Garden.  This amazing evening will feature live music and exceptional 5 course apple inspired menu and local beer, wine and cider. This is a 21+ event only please,

The Avila Apple Festival is organized by the Avila Beach Civic Association in partnership with local non-profits, Avila's apple growers, local businesses, and other apple loving volunteers.  All event proceeds go to Avila based non-profits, to support the betterment of the Avila Beach & Avila Valley communities.
